The Glow-in-the-Dark Egg Hunt will take place Friday, April 18 at 6 p.m., with the hunt beginning at 8 p.m. Participants must be between the ages 11 and 17. Admission is free and open to the public. Additional activities include games, food and music throughout the night. After sundown, pre-teens and teens will have the opportunity to find eggs on field containing prizes, candy and glow-in-the-dark items.

With a life and career spanning nearly a century, Julius Shulman is credited with furthering the mid-century modernism movement through his flawless photographs of the pioneering architecture of Richard Neutra and Pierre Koenig, among others. While Shulman’s pictures comprise the most published images of the modernist movement this new monograph, JULIUS SHULMAN LOS ANGELES, presents many never-before-seen images on a subject closest to Shulman’s heart: Los Angeles and its environs-including Palm Springs and the San Fernando Valley. He will be in person to discuss and sign copies of the book.

•April 13th: The Rendezvous Hike – We will take the beautiful trail up Santa Ynez Canyon to Trippet Ranch and meet with Sierra Club groups to celebrate John Muir’s 176th birlthday, about a seven-mile round trip with moderate gain.
•May 18th: We will hike about three miles from Malibu Creek State Park to Paramount Ranch to join the festivities at the Banjo and Fiddle Contest. Admission is $20.00, $15.00 for seniors.
•AND on May 13th we will resume our popular Tuesday evening walks by hiking the trails around Will Rogers State Historic Park. As usual we will meet in the Temescal parking lot at 6:00.

After traveling more than 2,800 miles from New York City’s Times Square, the world’s largest LEGO® model is now on display at LEGOLAND® California Resort. The life-size LEGO® Star Wars™ X-wing starfighter has been assembled by the theme park’s Master Model Builders inside a hangar to be on display for Park guests to enjoy starting June 13 through the remainder of the year.
